Who is this for?
Canadians who want one clear view of their net worth and how it’s changing over time, across investments, bank accounts, registered accounts, home, vehicles, and debt.
It works whether you’re tracking your own finances, sharing with a partner, or running a household. It’s a financial progress dashboard, not a budgeting app, an investment platform, or a bank aggregator.
Is my financial data safe?
Your data lives in our Firebase project (Google Cloud, North American region). Encrypted in transit and at rest by the platform.
Access is locked to authenticated household members via security rules. Even we cannot read your numbers without going through the same console you can use to delete them.
See the privacy page for the full picture.
Do you sell or share my data?
No. We never sell, share, or aggregate your data, and we don't run third-party analytics that track individuals. The only usage data we collect is anonymous event counts.
Why monthly entries instead of live bank links?
A few reasons. Live bank connections require handing your banking credentials to a third party, and they break often when banks change their login flow. A monthly cadence also matches how investments actually move; daily price swings add noise without insight.
The trade-off is a few minutes of entry each month, in exchange for a system that stays reliable.
Can I import from Mint, YNAB, a spreadsheet?
Not yet. CSV import is planned but not a priority. Most people start by adding their accounts and entering the current month, and can add past months if they want history.
Can my partner have their own login?
Yes. From Settings → People, send your partner an invitation. They get an email link, sign in, and the household appears in their account. Both of you can edit; entries are attributed but combined into one household total.
What if Growmetry shuts down?
You always have a current CSV export from Settings. If we ever wind down, we commit to 60 days' notice and a final export window. Your data is yours.
Does it work on iPhone? Android?
It's a Progressive Web App, so it runs in any modern browser and installs to the home screen on both. On iOS: Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android: Chrome → menu → Install app. Looks and feels like a native app once installed.
